Emily e Davide sono The Jackson Pollock, esplosivo duo batteria e chitarra da Bologna. In quest’era di musica di plastica, irrompono come un fulmine a ciel sereno con i loro live mozzafiato alimentati da energia grezza e sincera – niente pose né dejà vu, ma pura musica, fresca e potente. Con una batteria piazzata orgogliosamente davanti, Emily canta melodie fiabesche, urla e picchia i suoi pezzi come se stesse suonando un’intera orchestra, carne posseduta dal ritmo: ogni canzone è una nuova danza tribale. Davide inonda l’aria con noise e riff, una spirale distorta di fuzz e overdrive autocostruiti. Uniti da un filo rosso invisibile parlano una lingua segreta fatta di suoni, ciò che ascoltiamo sono storie non dette, il passato, il futuro, l’amore, l’odio e tutto ciò che vi è nel mezzo e, intanto, intorno a loro si solleva un’aura di energia contagiosa e positiva. Un giorno, mollano tutto e caricano il furgone con un amplificatore, una chitarra e la batteria iniziando un viaggio senza fine attraverso l’Europa. Dopo una serie di brevi release, TODAY FOREVER è il loro primo full album, edito dall’etichetta tedesca Rookie Records: un turbine che imbroglia sogni e insubordinazione, attitudine punk e hit dance, la violenza del grind e ritmi latini, cavalcando il caos come un drago. E’ la via di fuga dalla realtà verso un universo parallelo immaginario, ma che diventa reale se suoni con tutta l’energia possibile, se suoni come se non ci fosse un domani.

Emily and Davide are The Jackson Pollock, an explosive drum-and-guitar duo from Bologna. In this age of plastic music, they burst onto the scene like a bolt from the blue with their breathtaking live performances, fuelled by raw, genuine energy – no posturing or déjà vu, just pure, fresh and powerful music. With a drum kit proudly positioned at the front, Emily sings fairy-tale melodies, screams and pounds out her tracks as if she were playing an entire orchestra, her body possessed by the rhythm: every song is a new tribal dance. Davide floods the air with noise and riffs, a distorted spiral of self-built fuzz and overdrive. United by an invisible thread, they speak a secret language made of sounds; what we hear are untold stories, the past, the future, love, hate and everything in between, whilst around them rises an aura of contagious, positive energy. One day, they drop everything and load the van with an amp, a guitar and a drum kit, setting off on a never-ending journey across Europe. Following a series of short releases, TODAY FOREVER is their first full-length album, released by the German label Rookie Records: a whirlwind that blends dreams and rebellion, punk attitude and dance hits, the ferocity of grindcore and Latin rhythms, riding chaos like a dragon. It is an escape from reality into an imaginary parallel universe, but one that becomes real if you play with all the energy you can muster, if you play as if there were no tomorrow.
