Purpur Spytt orchestra

Purpur Spytt è un personaggio immaginario creato da Charlotte Mermoud (Maraudeur, The Staches) nel 2016. Dopo essere stata a lungo una one-woman band, sembra che Purpur Spytt si esibisca ora con una band completa, per non dire un’orchestra multitasking composta dai migliori talenti di Ginevra. Linee di basso audaci, ritmi spigolosi, armonie contorte di synth e chitarra, cosparse di testi ironici – per non dire satirici – pieni di interrogativi introspettivi… Meglio ridere che piangere. Dopo uno split 10″ con Maraudeur nel 2016, l’EP 7″ “Nitpick” nel 2018 e una cassetta negli Stati Uniti che raccoglie entrambe le uscite nel 2018 su Vacant Stare Records, Purpur Spytt torna con il suo primo album completo. “Scavenges, Time-travels, and Scrapbooks” è uscito su LP riciclato nel gennaio 2024 con Mini Distro Label Records e su cassetta con FTCN Ediciones.

Purpur Spytt is a fictional character created by Charlotte Mermoud (Maraudeur, The Staches) in 2016. For a long time as a one-woman band, it seems that Purpur Spytt performs now with a full band, not to say a multitasking orchestra of Geneva’s finest talents. Bold bass lines, angular rhythms, twisted synth and guitar harmonies, sprinkled with ironic – not to say satirical – lyrics full of introspective wonderings… Better to laugh than to cry. After a 10″ split with Maraudeur in 2016, the “Nitpick” 7″ EP in 2018, and a cassette in the US compiling both releases in 2018 on Vacant Stare Records, Purpur Spytt is back with her first full length album. “Scavenges, Time-travels, and Scrapbooks” got out on recycled LP in January 2024 with Mini Distro Label Records and on cassette with FTCN Ediciones.
