MOI•GEA inizia il suo percorso nella primavera del 2022, traendo nutrimento dal fertile terreno del vicentino e dal percorso musicale dei suoi quattro componenti: Lorenzo Cucco (sax tenore), Fabio Pavan (sax baritono), Rita Brancato e Simone Buttarello (batteria). Il gruppo si distingue per una formazione originale, che unisce fiati e percussioni, e per una proposta musicale che attraversa etnica, jazz e avanguardia, con uno stile personale e riconoscibile. L’obiettivo di MOI•GEA è proporre una musica che sfugga a ogni forma di elitarismo intellettuale, ristabilendo un contatto emotivo e viscerale con il pubblico, con lo scopo ultimo di mettere in comunicazione chi ascolta e le singole personalità artistiche dei musicisti che, fondendo le proprie energie, creano uno spettacolo coinvolgente e travolgente.

MOI•GEA began its journey in the spring of 2022, drawing nourishment from the fertile ground of the Vicenza area and from the musical paths of its four members: Lorenzo Cucco on tenor saxophone, Fabio Pavan on baritone saxophone, Rita Brancato and Simone Buttarello on drums. The group stands out for its original line-up, combining wind instruments and percussion, and for a musical approach that moves through ethnic music, jazz and the avant-garde, with a personal and recognizable style. MOI•GEA’s aim is to offer music that escapes any form of intellectual elitism, re-establishing an emotional and visceral connection with the audience. Its ultimate purpose is to create communication between the listener and the individual artistic personalities of the musicians, who merge their energies to create an engaging and overwhelming performance.
